I'd say the best commercial on the air today would have to be this Stride Gum commercial-

It’s about how the Stride Gum Company will take any measure to get you to chew a second piece of gum. I find it hilarious, in fact, I'm not sure I want to meet the person that doesn't. They do a great job of getting the idea across that Stride Gum's flavor lasts a long time. In the commercial, a group of dancers in lederhosen drive up in a van and start to dance around some man in the middle of a parking garage. The continue to dance around him, and as each dancer passes behind him they punch, hit, and kick him in the back until he proceeds to spit out his gum. The moment he does a dancer picks up the gum and they all drive away in the van they arrived in. I like the fact that it is totally random and unusual. I don’t like that it almost seems like they are trying too hard to be random, but at the same time the commercial is refreshing to watch after all the commercials trying (but failing) to be funny.
